Shelby believes that strong communities and businesses contribute to raising strong, healthy families. For that reason, Shelby is passionate about preserving legacy businesses, like the family farm. She provides services in the areas of estate planning and administration, real estate transactions, and business law. She also serves the surrounding area with juvenile law services, working with children and families in foster care. No matter the task, Shelby is focused on helping her clients, their families, and our community win.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Shelby studied Agricultural Economics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She also worked at an agricultural and water law firm in Lincoln, Nebraska, while in law school.
Shelby is married to Tanner Nelson, and her husband farms in the area. She has a green thumb and enjoys spending time around animals, especially her horse named Peppy. She and her husband attend Westmark Evangelical Free Church.
Shelby appreciates practicing law in Holdrege, Alma, and the surrounding areas because of the friendly atmosphere. She is glad to serve clients in our community.
