Luke loves the practice of law and values the diversity that comes with a general legal practice. Luke rejects the idea that you have to sacrifice service or sophistication when you use a general small-town attorney. Luke enjoys advising clients and negotiating all of the “deals” that come with various transactions. He has worked extensively with local entrepreneurs, publicly traded companies, franchisors, real estate developers and other parties to effectuate multi-million-dollar business and real estate transactions. Luke also has an active civil litigation practice and regularly appears in trial courts across the state. He recently obtained a trial verdict for $1.2 million on a business dispute that he successfully defended on appeal. That appeal helped make law on the fiduciary duties’ shareholders owe to corporations. He has also recently successfully negotiated a $1.1 million settlement on a complicated trust/estate dispute. However, one of Luke’s greatest joys is helping clients with a basic estate plan, setting up their first company or representing them in a court proceeding. Luke started his legal practice in 2006 at a litigation firm in North Platte and later joined Nate in Holdrege in 2011 to start the law firm.
Luke and his wife, Becky, have seven children. Luke and Becky are active members of All Saints Catholic Church in Holdrege and enjoy volunteering in organizations within the community. Luke also enjoys introducing his children to the outdoors and his hobbies of biking, hunting, fishing, hiking and camping.
